Psychiatric Medication Management Services

Our psychiatric medication management providers (psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners) provide medication management for children, adolescents, and adults.
We treat patients dealing with:

Our Psychiatric Medication Management Providers:

Ms. Mangat is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Christian Medical College & Hospital in August 2007. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2020 from Lewis University. In December 2024, she completed a post-graduate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification program from Wilkes University.
Ms. Mangat has more than 14 years of nursing experience in various settings, including the provision of nursing services to patients with various physiological and mental health conditions. She has been working as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Cardiology since June 2021, managing patients with various cardiovascular problems, some of which were complicated by behavioral health conditions.
Ms. Mangat has experience in behavioral health, including comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions for patients with mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, and chronic mental health illnesses through clinical rotations in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing as part of her Post-Graduate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification program from May 2024 to November 2024.
Ms. Mangat is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive, and quality mental health services to patients at Behavioral Health and Education Specialists. She follows evidence-based guidelines, clinical expertise, and a patient-centered approach for the management of behavioral health conditions. Her over 18 years of experience providing nursing services to a wide range of patient populations, including behavioral health patients, provides her with a unique and valuable perspective in her transition to focusing on the behavioral health field. 

Amrinder Mangat, M.S.N.

Muhammad Azhar, M.D.

Dr. Muhammad Azhar is a double board-certified psychiatrist in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from Nishtar Medical College in Multan, Pakistan, and then practiced as an internal medicine provider and ophthalmologist in Pakistan prior to completing his psychiatry residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York. He later completed his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Arkansas Medical Center following his psychiatry residency. He has been practicing psychiatry for over 10 years, and he provides services in our Plainfield office.

Sarah McGuire, M.D.

Dr. Sarah McGuire is board-certified in adult psychiatry. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky Medical School and completed her residency in psychiatry and internal medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has been practicing psychiatry for over 15 years and has significant experience treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, including Bipolar Disorder, psychosis, ADHD, and other mental health conditions, as well as individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. She provides services at our Plainfield office.
